    Cinnamon Twists

    These take a little bit of time/effort but they are yummy!

    3 3/4 c flour
    1 T sugar
    1 t salt
    1 pkg Rapid Rise yeast
    2/3 c hot water
    1/4 c butter
    2 eggs
    3 T butter (melted)

    Topping
    2/3 c sugar
    1 t cinnamon

    Oven at 350.  Set aside 1c flour. Mix the remaining 2 3/4c flour, sugar, salt and yeast.  Stir in water and 1/4c butter (not melted). Mix in eggs and enough flour to make a soft dough.  Knead 3 mnutes.  Divide dough half and roll into 2 12-inch rectangles. brush with butter and sprinkle with 3/4 of the topping. Fold 1/3 of the dough over the center. Brush again with butter and sprinkle with the remaining topping.  Fold over the other side of the dough over the center.  Cut both sections into 12 pieces. twist and place on  a greased pan. Let dough rise 15-20 minutes. Bake 12-14 minutes. Makes 24 twists.
