HEY THERE!!!
Welcome to Game On. This is our first entry so we'll try and make short, sweet, and too the point.
A busy week behind us and a busy week ahead. Last week the Nanooks got lots of good news... players being named to all conference teams...moving on to bigger and better things and wrapping up their seasons.
However perhaps the biggest news of the week...the complete shake up with the Fairbanks Grizzlies.
Chad Dittman says he's not going to stand for the kind of game his team played last week in Anchorage and I say ... THANK GOODNESS. Sure you may feel sorry for these guys but it's a big wake up call. This ain't North Pole High anymore fellas. This league is called the 'Intense Football League' for a reason. Committed players to this league are trying to use this experience as a stepping stone to the NFL. Sure it's great to have local guys on the team but if you can cut it . . . you can't cut it, in other words, if you can't do your job we'll find someone who can ... plain and simple. Lee Mireles demoted to offensive coordinator...new coach John Fourcade will clean house if he has to, should be an interesting week coming up.
That being said I think we need to support these guys. Dittman said earlier this week he loves Fairbanks and what this community has to offer and what they have already given the Grizzlies.

Next up ....Ice Dogs
These guys are tough. Beating in state rival Alaska Avalanche last night in O-T, what a great game for goalie Codey Reichart. Now they're playing for home ice throughout the playoffs...as my fellas in the Dog Pound would say.... GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!
